Anura Kumara Dissanayaka is a Member of Parliament and the leader of The People's Liberation Front (JVP) & National People's Power (NPP) and serves on several parliamentary committees. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Science from the University of Peradeniya and is an alumnus of Thambuththegama Central College in Anuradhapura. He is a former presidential candidate, and he has been named the National People's Power presidential candidate for the 2024 election.
